DIY Clear Waxmake your own soft clear wax

1. An empty mason jar
   Important: Jar must be able to withstand high heat
2. Pour the following ingredients into an empty mason jar (must be a mason jar to withstand high heat)
   + Add 1/8 cup of Carnauba Wax (flakes)
   + Add 1/4 cup of Beeswax (pellets)
   + Add 1-1/3 cup of Baby Oil (Aloe Vera/Vitamin E)
3. Using a tall sauce pan - place the mason jar in the center of the pan
4. Fill pan with water 1/2” below the level of the oil
   Important: Don’t fill higher than the oil level or the jar will float or tip over
5. Set burner heat to medium high
   Note: Wax won’t begin to melt until water starts to boil (10-15minute)
6. When you start seeing water bubbles - stir the wax with a long handle spoon (ice tea/cream spoon) every 1-2 minutes to insure the heat is being distributed eveningly. Once you have a rapid boil the wax pellets will quickly begin melting
7. Turn off the heat after all of the wax pellets have fully melted
   Note: The wax should be clear and transparent
8. Take the pan off the hot burner and let cool for 30 minutes.
9. After the oil has cooled for 30 minutes place the mason jar in a metal bowl or another sauce pan
   Caution: Always use a pot holder
10. Fill bowl with ice up to the oil level. Next fill the bowl with water 1/2" below oil level and stir oil for 15 seconds
11. Oil will cool rapidly and you will start seeing white foam appear against the edge of the jar.
12. When you see a white rim of wax form you will want to tightly seal the jar with the lid and shake for 45-60 seconds
13. Put the jar back in the water pan with the lid still on.
14. Wait 2 minutes and shake again for 30 seconds. This assures that the wax particles are being evenly distributed while cooling
15. Repeat shaking every 2 minutes until there is no longer a swishing noise (no sound). Usually after 5 to 6 shakes.
    Important: Between shakes put the jar back in the water bowl with lid still securely on
16. Once you have no sound after shaking - take the jar out of the water and set aside until the wax reaches room temparture
17. When the wax has reaches room temparture - it’s ready to use!
