Was so pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. I'm a sucker for a companies who put their heart into packaging and the all extras! The box smelled amazing when I opened it up and had no idea there would be a stir stick, lid opener, palate knife etc. the instructions for brush use were perfect, I followed and had only a couple hairs fall out during my project. I'm in the process still but added paint and wax to table top and I'm happy with these tools!! I almost spent $38 for one brush at the Annie Sloan store and glad I waited!! All the extra goodies!!! Used this for my first time painting a piece of furniture. I used Dixie Bell Fluff all over and Beyond Paint Nantucket for the accents. Really great presentation and instructions for use. Love that they included a bar of soap for washing the brushes. The big brush uses a lot of paint but is good for large areas. I ended up mostly using the small more pointy one because it really gets into the nooks and crannies and uses less paint. See my before and after pictures.

I used to go through a ton of brushes, and I honestly didn't expect much from a set priced this low. But I just looked at past orders and realized 2 things: 1) I have been using this same set for a year and a half! My order was back in March of 2020. 2) I never left a review, and that's unacceptable considering how great this product has been. I can't recommend them highly enough. I love buying my brushes from vintage tonality! Not only are the brushes of awesome quality but the hairs are soft yet still firm and just perfect for chalk painting and waxing. The soap is brilliant! I had a few brushes that had had dried up paint on them for months that had been hardened and which I thought were honestly pretty much ruined and I was going to have to throw away. I tried using the soap on the brushes to see if by some miracle maybe they could be saved and to my surprise after using much more of the soap than you would normally have to if you aren't lazy and let your brushes dry with paint like I did, I was able to save my brushes! They weren't as good as new again but they're still usable when I had no hope for them before. The packaging is great and honestly there's nothing bad I have to say about this brand or their products at all. I've bought their soap numerous times which can be bought separately but I tend to always buy the package with the brushes too just because I think its an awesome deal. You won't be disappointed.

I bought these brushes after I had tried another brand's brushes and found that the brush hairs kept falling out ruining my project. Vintage's brushes lost way fewer hairs. I really appreciated all the information that Vintage Tonality provided to prep, clean, care, and store the brushes. I was painting a set of shelving units with chalk paint and then using wax to finish the units. The brushes worked fabulously. A few hairs fell out but a manageable and expected amount. The soap that was sent with the brushes worked great for cleaning the brushes. It is a strong-smelling soap! Smells manly...like old spice. It was a bit much when I first opened the package but now that I've got it open in my laundry room (for easy access) I am finding I really love it! I highly recommend the product.

Pretty Good Brushes
I use this brush set with heirloom traditions paint and I really like it. It loads well and brushes the paint on smoothly. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is still losing a couple bristles after several uses and I did all the prep work for it. I clean the brushes immediately when finished with them and always hang them to dry. It's not a lot of bristles, but it is enough to make for quite the annoyance when it happens on the final coat of paint. Otherwise this is a great brush and an excellent value.

I have been painting kitchen chairs with spindle backs. The smaller pointed brush worked great for the spindles. I used the larger brush for the seat/legs. Chalk paint goes on great with them - good coverage and very smooth finish. I would recommend washing the brushes before the first use, as there were a few stray bristles at first. What a cute convenient and useful little package this is! The soap is absolutely wonderful and really does do wonders for all my brushes! I bought these brushes to paint a small table. I had purchased a brush of this type at the hardware store with a big name on it and, for the love of Pete, I spent more time pulling the brush hair off of the table than I did painting. Errrrrr. I finally stopped the insanity, went to my computer and found these brushes. I was dubious but what's a girl going to do? I washed them first and let them dry out. I did not find that a lot of brush hairs, actually, none at all. I started painting. I DID NOT find one brush hair while painting. Great paint brushes
I've recently began refinishing furniture. As I've researching, it came to my attention the paint brush used matters. I hesitated paying $30+ for just one. Fortunately I found these.
